Shipping Information

Use Your Own Carrier

I accept shipments from any carrier you would prefer to use.  UPS, FedEx, U.S. Post Office

Pack Carefully

I have occasionally received shipments that were damaged in transit.  Careful packing on your part will lessen the chance that your stock will be damaged if the package is mishandled.

Use lots of packing material.  Whether you use bubble wrap, newspaper or whatever, make sure that there is enough packing material in there to hold the stock securely and prevent it from moving around. This will cushion any falls or blows the package might receive in transit.

Of course, use a strong corrugated box to put everything in.  This is a piece of your heritage, an heirloom to be passed on. Take the added time necessary to ensure that you have packed it properly.

Return to You

It will take eight to ten weeks for your stock to return to you.

I will wrap the stock in soft cloth in addition to packing it tightly to add extra protection.  I take the additional time necesary to ensure that you will receive your refrinished stock back in the condition that you are hoping for.

As of February 1, 2007 there will be an additional $18 return shipping charge.

In Case Of Damage

If damage does occur, I will be there to support you in any way I can.

Other Important Information

If you are sending the entire rifle, all of the screws that release the metal from the wood must be loosened and able to turn freely.  They do not have to be removed but they have to be loose.

If the stock has a sling swivel or a butt plate, you should leave that on but please loosen the screws before sending.

Please include instructions in your package noting how you would like your stock to look when finished.  In other words, what color stain, what type of finish.  Do you want high or low gloss tung oil?  Or would you prefer it dipped in linseed oil?  I am always available for advice if you wish.  Feel free to ask.

Also include payment in the form of check or money order and make all checks or money orders out to Stephen Goodpaster.

Shot Guns and Hunting Rifles

All decorative items and all other furniture must be removed from the butt stock and the hand grip heel before you ship it.

I will accept
no stock that has any wood or plastic glued as a decorative or additional piece to the stock.
